Do you want to join Hornet? We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a frontend engineer who is passionate about building user-friendly, performant, and accessible web applications and thrives in a collaborative, fully remote environment.
Your Tasks
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build and optimize user-facing features.
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with a strong emphasis on performance and accessibility.
- Contribute to technical discussions, architecture planning, and code reviews.
- Continuously learn and apply best practices in front-end development.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
Your Profile & Experience
- A good grasp of React, Next.js, and TypeScript (professional or personal projects count!).
- Familiarity with modern front-end development tools and workflows (e.g., Nx, Webpack, ESLint, etc.).
- An eagerness to learn, grow, and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
- A collaborative mindset, open to feedback, and ready to contribute to team success.
- An understanding of accessibility principles (WCAG) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is more important.
- Passion for serving the LGBTQ+ community or an interest in contributing to an inclusive and meaningful mission.
