Do you want to join Hornet? We are looking for a Data Engineering & Analytics Lead at Hornet, starting immediately.
This role emphasizes leveraging scalable data pipelines and innovative practices to build impactful data solutions that drive business value. Your Tasks
- Lead and mentor a data and business analytics team, driving their growth and accountability.
- Develop and implement analytics strategies, managing data assets, solutions, and products to support organizational goals.
- Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and transformation processes using tools like Mage or Apache Airflow.
- Conduct data analysis, build statistical models, and provide actionable insights for decision-making and product development.
- Collaborate with teams to define KPIs, create dashboards, and ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, promoting innovation and experimentation, including A/B testing and predictive analytics.
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and security while optimizing infrastructure for efficient analysis.
- Effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Your Profile & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years in analytics or a related field, with management experience.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines using, e.g., Mage or Apache Airflow.
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in Python and R for statistical analysis
- Knowledge of modern data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GCP, BigQuery, Firebase).
- Strong business acumen, innovation mindset, and ability to promote a data-driven culture.
- High organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a quantitative field.
- Leading teams using OKR frameworks.
- Developing predictive analytics and building machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Expertise in AI methodologies (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, deep learning).
- Working with large datasets (100+ TB).
- Acquainted with data governance and privacy best practices.
