Role overview

  • As Country Manager for Türkiye, you will lead Hornet’s Marketing and Product localization in the Turkish market. You’ll be responsible for local marketing activations, community building, partnerships, and ensuring Hornet resonates with users in Türkiye. This role requires collaboration with product, data and operations teams. 

Key Responsibilities

Market Growth & Engagement

  • Drive user acquisition, activation, and retention strategies tailored to Türkiye.
  • Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.Marketing & Community management 

Marketing & Community management 

  • Plan and execute local marketing campaigns and events.
  • Build, nurture, and engage local LGBTQ+ communities on Hornet, social media and offline.

Partnership Development

  • Identify and manage partnerships with local LGBTQ+ organizations, influencers, and brands.
  • Leverage partnerships to increase Hornet’s visibility and impact in Türkiye.

Product & Feedback loop

  • Share local user feedback with the product team to improve the app experience.
  • Suggest features, localization needs, and content improvements based on market insights.

Performance Tracking

  • Use data and analytics to measure campaign impact and community engagement.
  • Report regularly on KPIs, challenges, and opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • 4–7 years of proven experience in marketing or community management or similar roles, ideally in tech.
  • Deep understanding of Türkiye’s LGBTQ+ community, culture, and media landscape.
  • Existing relationships with LGBTQ+ organizations and venues in Türkiye.
  • Strong communication skills in Turkish (native) and English (professional).
  • Experience working with influencers, media and event partners.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
