Do you want to join Hornet? We are looking for a Jr Support Team Member to join our Back Office, starting immediately. We prefer you already have a familiarity with Hornet and the LGBTQ+ community in general and are looking for the chance to make meaningful changes that push the space forward.

Your Tasks

• You will moderate user-generated content like uploaded photographs and user profiles by  checking all user uploaded photos and profiles and rejecting or editing those photos/profiles we do not allow
• You will be responsible for investigating member violation reports and taking the appropriate action
• You will engage with the Hornet Live livestreaming product
• You will create FAQs and support translation work
• You will detect and remove spam
• You will need to identify users who are at risk and intervene appropriately

Your Profile & Experience

Homeworking is not for everyone and requires a huge amount of self-control and self-motivation. Moderation work is challenging and demanding. Please think carefully if it would be right for you. 

• You are fluent in written English and able to communicate and understand instructions in English
• You have consistent judgment
• You are able to manage your own workload and feel comfortable working under your own initiative in a role that can be repetitive
• You are comfortable with nudity and rude language as you will be viewing content that can be disturbing
• You are a great team worker and feel comfortable working remotely

Requirements

• You must have a desktop or laptop computer for this role. A tablet/phone is not suitable, and you must have access to a reliable and fast internet connection.
• The Hornet team is distributed around the world, so you’ll be working remotely like the rest of us. However, depending on timezones, it may involve night work. 
• You can work from home or any place with a reliable and fast internet connection (however, due to dealing with nude photographs, it is not recommended for a public location).

Hours and Contract

This is intially for a 1 year contract basis. The contract may be extended indefinitely. It requires 40 hours of commitment per week. This will include working Saturday and Sunday. This is not a role that you can fit around studies or another job. 

Compensation will be USD 500 per month.

This is an entry-level job and the compensation reflects that. However, Queer Networks, Inc. and Hornet is a young company and is growing rapidly. There are excellent chances for rapid career progression for an enthusiastic and talented person.
